LIFE DEATH RESURRECTION
LIFE. DEATH. RESURRECTION. 13,200 volts of electricity, cardiac arrest, resuscitation and resurrection…. now you know the story of The Resurrection of Travis Moody. His brand new debut CD aptly named “Resurrection” was released just a year and a half after a life altering accident left his hand paralyzed, severe exit wounds and a missing body part which he writes about in the comically named song “Little Less”. Much can be learned about this blues player listening to his song “Bad Luck and Trouble” which shows his struggles yet emphasizes “the light at the end of the tunnel”. This was the first song he wrote after getting the feeling back in his hand. He describes his hand as “frozen”, “dead” and how “I fought to the depths of my soul to get it back, and I got it back.” Fans can’t get enough of Moody’s tunes and their loud cheers show how much they too appreciate that he got it back.
Travis Moody is an exceptional rock and blues guitarist known for playing his unique rock and roots arrangements as well as his own raw, heartfelt originals infused with country, rock and blues. Playing music since the age of ten this Branford, Ct. native has been influenced by local blues musicians who raised him from the cradle and by immersing himself in the recordings of guitar greats Danny Gatton, Keith Richards and legendary blues man Howlin Wolf. Travis is actively playing live gigs throughout the state, hosting his Blues Jam at New Haven area clubs and releasing his debut CD Resurrection. He is fervently writing new songs and fired up to continue recording.
The debut of Resurrection is a new beginning for Moody, from upgrading his website www.travismoody.com to collaborating with other musicians. Travis was incredibly awed and humbled to have Colin Tilton (sax w/Van Morrison, Clarence Clemmons) play on the reggae/rock/rap song Don’t Tease /Don’t Push. Colin Tilton also engineered, mixed and mastered Resurrection with what Moody calls his “wizardry”.
Travis’ upcoming gigs can be found on his website or on his Facebook page. His new CD Resurrection is now available at cdbaby.com and on iTunes. Playing the blues, arranging and writing songs, Travis Moody is infused with music, gifted on guitar and continues to spread the Moody vibe.
